Build a personal library of drills with descriptions, images, and videos.

Create a Custom Drill

  1. 1
    Go to "My Drills" from the Dashboard
  2. 2
    Click "Create Drill"
  3. 3
    Fill in the drill details (see below)
  4. 4
    Click "Save"

Drill Details

Each drill can include:

Name (required)

e.g., "3-Man Weave", "Shell Drill"

Category

Warm-up, Offense, Defense, etc.

Suggested Duration

How many minutes the drill takes

Description

Instructions and coaching points

Image (optional)

Upload a court diagram or photo

Video URL (optional)

Link to a video demonstration

TeamARETE Drill Library

Access our curated collection of professional basketball drills:

  1. 1
    Go to "Drill Library" from the Dashboard
  2. 2
    Browse drills organized by category
  3. 3
    Click "Copy to My Drills" to add any drill to your library
  4. 4
    Customize the copied drill as needed

Using Drills in Practices

When building a practice plan, your saved drills appear in the sidebar:

    Open a practice plan for editing
  2. 2
    Browse your drills in the sidebar
  3. 3
    Drag a drill onto your timeline (or click to add)
  4. 4
    The drill's category, duration, and notes auto-populate

Tip: You can still adjust the duration and notes for each block after adding a drill. The drill serves as a starting template.

Organizing with Categories

Create custom categories to organize your drills:

    Go to Settings → Categories
  2. 2
    Add categories like "Warm-up", "Defense", "Shooting", "Conditioning"
  3. 3
    Assign colors for easy visual organization
  4. 4
    Drag to reorder categories

Import & Export Drills

Backup your drills or share them between accounts:

Export
  • • Export to JSON (full backup)
  • • Export to CSV (spreadsheet)
  • • All drill details included
Import
  • • Import from JSON or CSV
  • • Duplicates are skipped
  • • Categories auto-matched

Find the Import/Export options at the top of your My Drills page.

Submit to Community Library

Share your best drills with other coaches:

  1. 1
    Go to My Drills and click on a drill to edit
  2. 2
    Click "Submit to Community Library"
  3. 3
    Our team reviews your submission
  4. 4
    If approved, it joins the TeamARETE Library for all Pro users

Tip: Include clear descriptions, coaching points, and a diagram or video for the best chance of approval.
